Ed McBrayer’s passing was mourned by Path Foundation and all of us. We wish the best for his family and friends in this difficult time. He leaves us with a legacy of not only an amazing trail from Alabama to downtown Atlanta that millions of people use each year, but also the soon-to-be-connected Atlanta Beltline and many other trails.
Let’s honor the amazing commitment he has made towards the community of metro Atlanta and state of Georgia! When today’s grandchildren and their grandchildren are using our state’s trails, the legacy will be Ed McBrayer.
Here is the dedication from PATH Foundation:

Ed leaves an extraordinary legacy—because of him, millions of people experience safe and inspiring greenspaces every day. Under his leadership, PATH built over 340+ miles of trails, inspired public-private partnerships across the region, and elevated Atlanta’s quality of life for generations to come. Thank you, Ed, for believing in what was possible for our region. Your legacy will continue to move us forward.
